- Part of my interest in this script is that each scene creates a different world with language, rhythm and tone. I wanted the “machine” to be the people working.
- A key to the production design was to use a new actress as the Young Woman for each scene. Here she is on her wedding night.
- In this scene I brought all the actresses together to act one character, when they defended their case each spoke to her side of the story, and some text was choral.
